In
1934, Willis "Bill" Johnson of LeRoy NY, and four college friends
who had formed a band were hired to play on the ship Olympic
( sister ship to the Titanic ) on a trip from New York to Cherbourg,
France. Bill kept a diary of their experiences on the ship and
on a stay in Paris. The diary has been transcribed by Neal Smith. |
